Make your own window and door hangings, inspired by traditional India pantorans!

I have written all the tips and instructions you will need to get started with this lovely sewing project. You probably have all the things you need to hand, so once you download these pages, you’ll be able to get going straight away!

Use rich Indian block-printed fabrics for an authentic look, or just have fun with your scraps. I have suggested a final shape, but using the techniques in the guide you can make these as big and intricate as you like!

And once you have made your pantoran you might like to post it on Instagram as it comes with its very own hashtag!

You are buying a complete set of instructions on how to cut, assemble and sew the pantorans — ready to download as a PDF.

Just download and have fun!

Pantoran, a quick and easy project. I used the serger for decorative edging of the squares. I made two and used tension rods to hang at my kitchen windows.

Looks like it will be fun to create!

I have the Pantoran Printables downloaded, and I've just purchased some African fabric from Nigeria. Mixing some cultures but that's what makes this fun. I probably won't start anything until after the holidays because, well, so much to create, so little time! Very very excited!!
