I am delighted to be able to offer these Thread Boxes! I made them as part of Aurifil’s Designer Collection 2024. The threads are Stranded Cotton on lovely wooden bobbins. There are 18 yards on each bobbin and the six strands can be split and used for hand quilting, embroidery, or anywhere you need a beautiful coloured thread.
I had fun choosing the colours. They can be used in a number of ways. One ‘set’ is the pastel colours and another is bold. But then you can choose the same two colours in each pairing and strand the colours together for a DIY variegated thread. Or use the 8 colours together in a riot of colour! The last two bobbins in this box of 10 is, firstly a very useful cream cotton and then, my favourite Aurifil colour way, Marrakech, which is a mix of all the colours in the rainbow. I use this one often as I find it blends in perfectly with whatever I am stitching!
I know I am going to have endless fun mixing the strands together to make my own versions of these wonderful threads. And just using them as they are will be awesome too!
