When I went on the Norwegian cruise adventure earlier this year, I developed these colourful bag kits as a fun, creative project that everyone attending could hand stitch together.

This is a lovely, easy project for beginner and experienced EPP-ers alike. The kit comes in two styles for you to choose from (or get both!). The Plain Kit features a delicious collection of Kona Solids in all the colours of the rainbow and the Fancy Kit has fabrics chosen from the Kaffe Fassett Collective.

Each kit contains everything you need to make a project bag:

Paper templates in both the shapes you will need
a spool of Aurifil 50 weigh thread 2600 a lovely grey that disappears into any colour
20 fabrics for you to make the pieced bag
contrasting fabric for the lining and handles
Instruction booklet

Finished project bags will measure 9" by 9" (23cm x23cm), excluding handles.

Project Bag Kit

I have subscribed to, and been a patron of, The Last Homely House for nearly 6 years, and am no longer be surprised by the amount of care Kate and Anna take with everything they do. From the envelope with the stamped logo on the outside, to the beautiful bag the Project Bag kit came in, it was a total delight to open everything! It had been packaged with such care, and I could almost see Anna putting all this together in the packing room. Oh, and the contents were perfect too! Thank you so much as always, Kate and Anna, and I am really looking forward to this project.

Beautiful kit

Lovely fabric and good quality paper, have just started with the hexagons and it's a soothing thing to do. Kit was promptly dispatched and nicely packaged and just feels like quality.

I'm so excited for this project!

I did English paper piecing years ago and even did my Christmas tree skirt that way. I'm going on a business trip with my husband in June and I can't/won't fly my sewing machine so I am looking forward to working on this hand sewing project. The colors are so vibrant and I have already read the instructions and watched the video so I feel confident in my ability to complete it.

I live in Chicago USA and watch Kate and Anna all the time. It’s like sitting together with good friends. I loved making the project bag. It was nice to have something to do by hand that fit on my lap and was very portable. And I’m very proud of my little bag. I ordered and made the pillow kit previously and can’t wait for the next one.
